Steven Stull, baritone

Baritone Steven Stull sings a wide range of repertory including opera, operetta, musical theatre, oratorio, chamber music and song. As a recording artist, he can be heard on the critically acclaimed compact discs:  The Pulse of an Irishman, Irish and Scottish Songs arranged by Beethoven, "Opera Cowpokes", "Deck the Falls" and as the Wolf on the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra's recording of "Boyz in the Wood." His video presentation Opera Cowpokes Alive! will be seen on public television later this year. Awarded Syracuse Opera's 2007 "Artist of the Year" for his portrayal of Dancairo in Carmen,  he has appeared with Glimmerglass Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, Artpark, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Kyrgyz State Opera, Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh, Oswego Opera, the Anchorage Festival of Music, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony, Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and the West Virginia Symphony.

An active recitalist and collaborator in modern dance performances, Mr. Stull has performed with choreographers Saga Ambegaokar, Jill Becker, June Finch, Jeanne Goddard, Jim Self, Galumpha and the Firehouse Dance Company.  He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Oberlin College Conservatory.

In 1990 Mr. Stull co-founded the CRS Barn Studio with choreographer Jeanne Goddard. Together they present an eclectic series of music and dance performances on the CRS Growers organic vegetable farm overlooking Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY.
